Freedom is not something to be held close, but given to all.

Howie, what an idiot!

"Moderate Republicans can't stand these people (conservatives), because they're intolerant. They don't think tolerance is a virtue," Dean said, adding: "I'm not going to have these right-wingers throw away our right to be tolerant."
And concluding his backyard speech with a litany of Democratic values, he added: "This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're the good."

Howie, you ignorant slut. How intolerant of you. You just don't seem to get the fact that the GOP is an inclusive party. Our members believe in the values of America, not your values. We have disagreements in our party, but we don't call dissenters "Evil." You do. You call us evil. You "hate everything we stand for (your own statement, italics mine)." I don't think you're evil. I do think you are stupid. I don't think that the Democratic Party is evil, although it is seriously misguided. If your party would please go back to the values of Roosevelt (who, by the way, catapulted your party into power by preaching the values of family, work, and nation) and Kennedy (who won election by promoting strong defense and anticommunism), it might get back to winning elections.

Keep up the BS that you promote, and the conservatives you hate so much will keep on winning and you will be forever known as the man who hammered the last nail in the Democrat's coffin.

Iran, Russia Sign Nuclear Fuel Deal Opposed by U.S.

All I can say right now is what in the blue hell is Putin thinking?

This idiot must be on some serious crack if he wants to send nuclear fuel to the mad mullahs of Iran. Maybe he ain't up on current events, given that Russia is still a nation whose backwardness makes The Sudan look absolutely modern, but come on! Giving nuclear fuel to Iran is akin to giving a Mafia button man a rifle, bullet and a photograph.

Of course, the United States is against this move, and should strongly urge (i.e. armtwist) Putin to back out on this ill-advised agreement.

On the other hand, I seriously doubt that Israel is going to stand for this, and will back up their own convictions with some major military hardware. Remember, these are the folks who took out the Iraqi nuclear reactor with an airstrike. Now, this time, it ain't going to be so easy, but with a little ordnance assistance from the United States, it should not be too difficult to take out the new reactor.

Help us, oh Israel!

Malik traded!

I cant' believe that my San Antonio Spurs traded Malik Rose to the dreaded NY Knicks. Who'd we get in return? Nazr Mohammed, from the Knicks is now on his way to San Antonio. This certainly has to be one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Surprise, surprise

Ward Churchill, the idiot professor of University of Colorado, admitted before a University of Hawaii audience that (much to the surprise of us all..... /sarcasm) he is not native American. Wow.

Just how did the indigenous people of the Americas get to be known as native Americans anyway? I was born here. I'm a native American. However, I am not an aborigional American.

Guess they got to be known as native americans the way the disposed people from Egypt and Jordan came to be known as Palestinians.

American charged in alleged plot to assassinate President Bush

Imagine that. An American has been tied to al-Qaeda has been indicted for involvement in a plot to kill the President of the United States.

Meanwhile, the dimwits at Democratic Underground continue to bleat like the good little Howard the Dean sheeple that they are.

You can read about it on the MSM (spit) link, or you can read about it over on LGF.

Here is the body of the text over at LGF:

An American Muslim has been charged with conspiring to assassinate President Bush, and with supporting Al Qaeda: Va. Man Charged in Alleged Assassination Plot. (Hat tip: SoCalJustice.)
Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, 23, a U.S. citizen, made an initial appearance Tuesday in U.S. District Court but did not enter a plea. He contended that he was tortured while detained in Saudi Arabia since June of 2003 and offered through his lawyer to show the judge his scars.
The federal indictment said that in 2002 and 2003 Abu Ali and an unidentified co-conspirator discussed plans for Abu Ali to assassinate Bush. They discussed two scenarios, the indictment said, one in which Abu Ali “would get close enough to the president to shoot him on the street” and, alternatively, “an operation in which Abu Ali would detonate a car bomb.”
The White House had no comment on the indictment.
Abu Ali was born in Houston and moved to Falls Church, Va., where he was valedictorian of his high school class. Federal prosecutors say Abu Ali joined an al Qaeda cell in Saudi Arabia in 2001. The alleged Bush plot occurred while he was studying in that country.

Bush scolds Russia's Putin

In George Bush's speech to the EuroPEONS today, he tore up Putin for not sticking to the goal of democracy for the people of Russia. because he is moving forward on a program of consolidating his (Putin's) personal power.

Bush also decided that now was as good a time as any to give a little nudge to the EuroPEONS. He wants them to understand that the US will act in its own interests when it deems it necessary, and damn the consequences.

Bush was also adamant about telling Syria (spit) to GTFO of Lebanon.

This is the kind of guy we're used to down here in Texas. Bring others along for the ride if necessary, but regardless of who rides along, make sure YOU make the journey.

I would hate the thought of that idiot criminal Chirac coming to Texas.

Amazing. Thank God I live in Texas

Apparently, Congressman Maurice Hinchey (Moonbat, NY) has decided that he wants to join the tinfoil hat society. Here it is, almost the end of February, and this guy seems to think it'd be a "hoot" to go after George Bush on the whole "TANG, AWOL, Memo, Dan Rather" fiasco. Never mind that this whole thing was completely discredited by many sources, including Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs, nooooooooo, this schmuck wants to revisit the whole issue.

Here's the best part: He has no evidence. He has no evidence that Bush did anything wrong. Further, he makes unsubstantiated (read: no evidence) charges that the EEEEEvil Karl Rove was behind the whole Memoscam perpetrated by Dan Rather & CBS.

He has NO evidence.

I have one question for the (not so honorable) Congressman:

When did you stop molesting children in the basement dungeon of your house?

I think you've been molesting children. I, of course, have no proof, but apparently, I don't need to according to your ethics and morals.

Unbelievable.

Booting Russia

There are those that think that the cold war ended with the implosion of the old Soviet Union. Now we see the reversion to the old Kremlin controlled centralized state. Putin is still the old style Soviet Hack we imagined him to be when he first won election to the Russian Presidency.
Senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman have both asked for Russia's removal from the G-8 due to Putin's abuses of democracy and political freedom.
Episodes like this prove that replicating American style democracy in non-western nations is a difficult and dangerous process. Successful western style democracies in other parts of the world are rare, and always face the danger of revolution and the occasional military led coup d etat.
Should we then, NOT try to export democracy? No. Nobody ever said that spreading western style democracy would be easy, especially with the thugs and idiots out in other parts of the world. Those who promote a Mafia style government will always have more power in the short term. We have to continue to press for democracy. Even if it is difficult. People are meant to live in freedom, not tyranny.
Good luck, Russia.

Holy Smokes, Dean's the man!

First things first, I have seriously neglected updating because I have been dealing with a lot of family issues over the winter. I've had a number of family members pass away, along with a few friends. Tough winter. I hope to do better in the spring than I did in the winter. ( Hey, I could have said I was still celebrating the Bush election. It could be accurately said that I did a fair amount of celebrating though...)

OK I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Howard the Dean is now the head of the DNC. It's like a GOP dream come true! Dean has the ability just like John Kerry to not only be on BOTH sides of the issue, but be able to give very effective arguments for either side. For instance:

Take a look. This guy's good, people. Thank God for the Blogosphere. We need to take all this stuff down.
