Maybe she fancies herself a kindred spirit with the kid who stood up to a tank in Communist China back in 1989. I remember the Pope to be one of the instrumental forces in kicking out the Soviets from Eastern Europe in the 1980's and early '90's. I'm beginning to wonder if the "infallible" head of the Catholic Church has completely lost his marbles.

"Bow to the will of the people?" More like bow to the will of the communist sympathizers in Italy, who seem to have forgotten that it was because of Americans spilling their blood that Italy became a free country.

Has the Pope gone lefty on us? If this is to be the direction of the Catholic Church, which is, after all, an offshoot of Judiasm, then many Catholics may soon be rethinking their affiliation.

I'm already rethinking how much I pay in tithes at this point. If this Church is going to back the wrong horse in this war, I don't want them to get any more of my cash. I'd rather pay it directly to the IDF. I'll at least have the satisfaction of knowing that people who fight for freedom are the recipients of my hard earned cash.

Why am I not surprised?

The Associated Press
Updated: 7:26 p.m. ET March 6, 2005

BEIRUT, Lebanon - The militant group Hezbollah, largely on the fence since anti-Syrian protests erupted in Lebanon last month, switched gears Sunday and threw its weight behind Syria and its allies — calling for massive rallies in Beirut to show loyalty to Damascus.

Keep in mind, that Iran is the financier of Hezbollah, and that recently, Iran and Syria joined together in a mutual defense sort of way to try to deter anything that the West (read U.S.) might have in mind about the mad mullahs (or mad moo-las, as GWB has put it).

Why Israel hasn't crushed these bastards is beyond me. A reporter for an Italian Communist fishwrap is taken hostage in Iraq by insurgents (I have my suspicions about her "hostage" status, by the way), and a month of negotiations take place to win her freedom. She's finally freed by the insurgents, and while she is returning from her nightmare, she runs straight into a brand new one. Her car comes under fire from American troops, killing the Italian Intelligence officer that won her freedom, wounding another, and wounding the reporter in the fracas.

I have a very hard time buying into all of this. Of course, the MSM, in it's impartiality, makes the US Troops out to be the instigators of the whole thing, but let's take a look at the information we have seen thus far.

According to witnesses, the Italians were speeding towards a US checkpoint near the Baghdad airport. The driver ignored hand signals to stop, ignored arm signals, and even ignored flashing lights and warning shots. Folks, these are uniformed US soldiers! It's not like they were dressed in jeans and t-shirts. The soldiers are easily recognnized! Only after all of the warnings and signals were ignored, the order to fire was given in order to stop the vehicle. Soldiers shot into the engine block, and apparently, stray fire entered the passenger compartment of the car.

One dead, and two injured. This could have all been avoided, but the Italians, who up to this point had been working closely with American Intelligence to win the hostage's release, didn't even coodinate or inform the Americans that the hostage had been released! What kind of lunacy is this?

Like I said, I have my suspicions. I don't consider myself a conspiracy theorist, but I wonder if the whole incident was staged by someone with an agenda. It's not like this reporter was any great friend of the United States.

Martha Stewart-Free at last!

The domestic diva, Martha Stewart, is due to be released from prison at any moment. Was she made an example of in front of the entire nation? Of course she was. Did she deserve jail time? Perhaps. But in an age when violent offenders are sent to work camps, and even more lenient sentences are handed out to wifebeaters and other miscreants, it seems that any jail time for a 63 year old woman was a stupid idea.

The US Supreme Court (well, five morons who happened to be lucky enough to be chosen, anyway) gives a free pass to Kids who Kill, and allow grandmas who lie to federal agents to be sent to prison. That means that it is against federal law to force you to pray to my God. It is also against the federal law for you to stop me from praying to my God.

It says not one thing about allowing a civilization document to be represented anywhere in this country. The Ten Commandments, whether given by God or devised by man, is the cornerstone of Western Civilization. It is the basis by which we all live our lives (or are supposed to anyway).

To refresh your memory, let me give you my copy of the Ten Commandments here:

I am the LORD your God, you shall have no other gods before me.

You shall not take the Name of the LORD your God in vain.

Keep holy the Sabbath day.

Honor your father and your mother.

You shall not kill.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness.

You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

Now, I don't expect that everyone follows these. I do expect that people understand that this is a civilizational document; that is, Westen civilization was developed around these simple rules. If these had not been developed,it is entirely possible that civilization would never have been born. We would be busy killing, raping and stealing our lives away on a grand scale.

To display these is not always an endorsement of religion; it is a simple statement of some of the earliest law of man.

Is there a God? Of course, the only way we will know is after we die. I'm not about to push religion on any of you.

Must we be civilized? Absolutely. Otherwise, we humans would have killed ourselves off long ago.

Howie, what an idiot!

"Moderate Republicans can't stand these people (conservatives), because they're intolerant. Man Charged in Alleged Assassination Plot. (Hat tip: SoCalJustice.)
Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, 23, a U.S. citizen, made an initial appearance Tuesday in U.S. District Court but did not enter a plea. He contended that he was tortured while detained in Saudi Arabia since June of 2003 and offered through his lawyer to show the judge his scars.
The federal indictment said that in 2002 and 2003 Abu Ali and an unidentified co-conspirator discussed plans for Abu Ali to assassinate Bush. They discussed two scenarios, the indictment said, one in which Abu Ali “would get close enough to the president to shoot him on the street” and, alternatively, “an operation in which Abu Ali would detonate a car bomb.”
The White House had no comment on the indictment.
Abu Ali was born in Houston and moved to Falls Church, Va., where he was valedictorian of his high school class. Federal prosecutors say Abu Ali joined an al Qaeda cell in Saudi Arabia in 2001. Thank God I live in Texas

Apparently, Congressman Maurice Hinchey (Moonbat, NY) has decided that he wants to join the tinfoil hat society. Here it is, almost the end of February, and this guy seems to think it'd be a "hoot" to go after George Bush on the whole "TANG, AWOL, Memo, Dan Rather" fiasco. Never mind that this whole thing was completely discredited by many sources, including Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs, nooooooooo, this schmuck wants to revisit the whole issue.

Here's the best part: He has no evidence. He has no evidence that Bush did anything wrong. Further, he makes unsubstantiated (read: no evidence) charges that the EEEEEvil Karl Rove was behind the whole Memoscam perpetrated by Dan Rather & CBS.

He has NO evidence.

I have one question for the (not so honorable) Congressman:

When did you stop molesting children in the basement dungeon of your house?

I think you've been molesting children. Now we see the reversion to the old Kremlin controlled centralized state. Putin is still the old style Soviet Hack we imagined him to be when he first won election to the Russian Presidency.

Senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman have both asked for Russia's removal from the G-8 due to Putin's abuses of democracy and political freedom.

Episodes like this prove that replicating American style democracy in non-western nations is a difficult and dangerous process. Successful western style democracies in other parts of the world are rare, and always face the danger of revolution and the occasional military led coup d etat.

Should we then, NOT try to export democracy? No. Nobody ever said that spreading western style democracy would be easy, especially with the thugs and idiots out in other parts of the world. Those who promote a Mafia style government will always have more power in the short term. We have to continue to press for democracy. Even if it is difficult. I've had a number of family members pass away, along with a few friends. Tough winter. I hope to do better in the spring than I did in the winter. ( Hey, I could have said I was still celebrating the Bush election. It could be accurately said that I did a fair amount of celebrating though...)

OK I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Howard the Dean is now the head of the DNC. It's like a GOP dream come true! Dean has the ability just like John Kerry to not only be on BOTH sides of the issue, but be able to give very effective arguments for either side. For instance:

http://intellectualconservative.com/deanvdean.html

Take a look. Tomorrow, you have a choice to make, if you haven't already done so. Your vote is important, even if you live in what the pundits would call a "safe" state. I live in Texas, where the outcome is truly a foregone conclusion. Why did I vote? Because I want not only an electoral victory for George W Bush, I want a conclusive popular vote for him. I don't want the Michael Moores of the country to be able to spout their message of hate for the next four years. I want us to send a message to the enemy, and make no mistake, the Islamofascists are the enemy. They have tried time and time again to destroy our way of life. When we didn't roll over like was done in the Clinton Administration, they tried to turn up the heat and gained the assistance of our fifth column media and helped to hijack the once great Democratic Party. Have you ever wondered why it was that John Kerry didn't receive his "honorable" discharge until years after he was drummed out of the service? Could it be that his original discharge was not honorable? Time will tell, but if John Kerry is elected to the Presidency, you can be it will be hidden for all time.

Vote. Vote George W. Bush. Really!

Stephen Moore, president of the Club for Growth, writes in the WALL STREET JOURNAL on Monday: "According to the Kerrys' own tax records, and they have not released all of them, the couple had a combined income of $6.8 million in income last year and paid $725,000 in income taxes. That means their effective tax rate was a whopping 12.8%.... "Under the current tax system the middle class pays far more than the Kerry tax rate. In fact, the average federal tax rate -- combined payroll and income tax -- for a middle-class family is closer to 20% or more. George W. and Laura Bush, who had an income one- tenth of the Kerrys', paid a tax rate of 30%. ... "Here is the man who finds clever ways to reduce his own tax liability while voting for higher taxes on the middle class dozens of times in his Senate career. He even voted against the Bush tax cut that saves each middle-class family about $1,000." The Kerrys "have unwittingly made the case for what George W. Bush says he wants to do: radically simplify and flatten out the tax code. ... So before John Kerry is given the opportunity to raise taxes again on American workers, shouldn't he and Teresa at least pay their fair share?"

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thepassionateconservative.blogspot.com/2004/10/and-john-kerry-wants-to-lower-your.html' title='...and John Kerry wants to lower your taxes. We cut off their bribe money (as if there was a doubt?) from Saddam Hussein.

Think he'll magically create jobs in America? Name one policy that he would enact that would create jobs. He spouts this nice protectionist claptrap, but in the end, HE wants to outsource jobs too.

Upset about the 17% increase in Medicare premiums? Guess what? John Kerry voted FOR the increase back in 1997, as a part of the "Save Medicare" crisis that loomed over the program.

Geez.....the only reason some of these idiots want to vote for Kerry is because they hate Bush. Nice to know they hold the same sentiments as Mr. al-Zaqwari (however that bastard's name is spelled).

Losing respect quickly

Archbishop Michel A. Sabbah, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, has an interest in the advancement of the Palestinian people (wow. didn't even know they had a country!) He accuses the Israelis of not willing to work towards a real peace between the two peoples. He states that there are "individuals" in the Palestinian areas who are working independent of the "government" to promote terrorism, but that Israel is promoting violence. He also condemns the seperation barrier as unjust. I'd love to have a link to this, but he spoke at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, and all attempts to find this speech on their websit have been fruitless. The information was published in the San Antonio Archdiocesan Newspaper, Today's Catholic, which appears to not have any presence on the internet.

This is why I refuse to acknowledge the infallibility of the Pope. He must have been drinking something the day he decided to let this moonbat become an Archbishop.

I cannot find any instance if the IDF intentionally targeting innocent people. I cannot find ONE instance of a suicide bomber that DIDN'T target civilians.

What truly disturbs me is that the Catholic Church is, in reality, simply an offshoot of Judaism. We condemn our own brothers for self defense. This is not MY Catholic Faith.

And this is a good thing?

Walking U.N.

Perhaps Sen. John Kerry does have an advantage after all over President Bush in understanding the complex political issues of the Middle East. New research by Burke's Peerage reveals that Mr. Kerry is the only presidential candidate in U.S. history who has genealogical descent from Muslims, Jews and Christians. "Senator Kerry ... is a virtual walking United Nations," says Harold Brooks-Baker, publishing director of Burke's. Mr. Kerry is kinsman of the Shi'ite shahs of Persia (the most famous was Shah Abbas I, who reigned from 1587 to 1629), as well as the Muslim kings of Tunisia, all of whom — Democratic presidential nominee included — descend from the prophet Muhammad.

Uh, yeah....I'm not sure this is good for the Kerry campaign, but it might garner a few of those oh so precious Al Qaeda votes. In recent memory, wev'e had the tailwind scandal, the fake Hitler diaries, the Jayson Blair plaigarism, the Dateline NBC Chevy truck fiasco, Chris Matthews (anytime), and now we have Dan Rather aiding and abetting in a government document forgery. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Rather insists thast the documents are genuine. Never mind the fact that the "source" cited claims the documents are fake, never mind the fact that the documents have been scoured by several experts and discredited as fakes, never mind that the typewriter that supposedly created the documents doesn't freaking exist. Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs has proven, extensively, that the documents are fake.

Dan Rather needs to come clean. Can the Kerry campaign and CBS be so desperate so as to forge documents? You bet they can be.

A stupid Question

From an online sampling over at the Newsweek website:
Has what you've seen or heard about John Kerry's military service record in the Vietnam War made you more likely or less likely to vote for him in November, or has it not had much effect either way?

1. (Reuters) - Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry on Monday called the invasion of Iraq ``the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time'' and said his goal was to withdraw U.S. troops in a first White House term.

(After winning, right, John? John?......sound of crickets....)

Under pressure from some Democrats to change the subject from national security -- regarded by many as President Bush's strength -- Kerry tried to focus on the economy and other domestic issues at a neighborhood meeting in Canonsburg, but members of the audience raised Iraq.

(And of course, John Kerry reminded us, cause we might have forgotten, that he spent four months in Vietnam, earned 5 medals and has shrapnel in his leg...)

In Racine, West Virginia, Kerry assailed Bush's record, repeatedly telling a Labor Day rally the ``W'' in Bush's name stood for ``wrong -- wrong choices, wrong judgment, wrong priorities, wrong direction for our country'' on everything from jobs to Iraq.

(We can play that game, what the "F" in John F Kerry is for: "fucked up choices, fucked up judgement, fucked up priorities, fucked up direction for our country...)

Kerry was trying to reinvigorate his campaign with a Labor Day offensive in three battleground states -- Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio -- after weekend polls showed him trailing Bush by double digits.

(trailing? More like being obliterated...)

The Massachusetts senator, who has said he would have voted to give Bush the authority to use force if necessary against Saddam Hussein even if he had known at the time that the Iraqi leader had no weapons of mass destruction, has struggled to draw clear contrasts with the president.

(yeah, sure, but that was so two weeks ago....)

``I would not have done just one thing differently than the president on Iraq, I would have done everything differently than the president on Iraq,'' Kerry said.

(Ignore, surrender, you get the idea...)
He denied that he was ``Monday morning quarterbacking.'' (That's cause he doesn't understand the term; John Kerry plays croquet)

The Bush campaign said Kerry had ``demonstrated nothing but indecision and vacillation'' on Iraq.''
``I said this from the beginning of the debate to the walk up to the war,'' Kerry told supporters. ``I said, Mr. President don't rush to war, take the time to build a legitimate coalition and have a plan to win the peace.''

(And give the enemy time to purchase more and more weapons from their buddies in France, right?)

He said Bush had failed on all three counts. He called the president's talk about a coalition fighting alongside about 125,000 U.S. troops ``the phoniest thing I've ever heard.''

(As opposed to your comment about how your SUV wasn't yours?)

``You've about 500 troops here, 500 troops there and it's American troops that are 90 percent of the combat casualties and it's American taxpayers that are paying 90 percent of the cost of the war,'' he said. ``It's the wrong war, in the wrong place at the wrong time.''

(Like there's a right time and place for war? C'mon, dummy, nobody wants war, but we'd rather wage it on our terms than the enemy's. Better to fight them over there, than to fight them over here. Or would you rather sit on your ass watching the Pentagon, Halls of Congress and the White House burn? Is that what you want? Think in more than two dimensional terms, stupid. We have the terrorist entity engaged in Iraq. They are transfixed on getting us out. They not doing anything here because of our engagement in Iraq. I'm not trying to draw a connection between Saddam and Osama, that's a different argument, but the terrorist entity is mre drawn to Iraq at this time. If we hadn't engaged them in the Middle East, on their doorstep, we would be engaging them here.)

GETTING OUT OF IRAQ
Bush, headed for a Labor Day swing into the battleground state of Missouri, accused his rival of changing his position on Iraq after bringing in new advisers to boost his campaign.
``After voting for the war but against funding it, after saying he would have voted for the war even knowing everything we know today, my opponent woke up this morning with new campaign advisers and yet another new position. Suddenly he's against it again,'' Bush said in remarks prepared for delivery at a campaign rally in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

(Well it is a new day. Give it some time, Mr. President, he'll change his mind again...)

With many Democrats outside Kerry's team urging him to take steps to revitalize his White House bid, Kerry moved John Sasso, a longtime adviser, from the Democratic National Committee to a top job inside his campaign.
Sasso will travel with the candidate through the Nov. 2 election. Several ex-aides to President Bill Clinton also were added recently, including former White House press secretary Joe Lockhart and Joel Johnson, a former senior White House aide.
A Kerry campaign spokesman said it was simply an expansion of staff for the final two-month race.
Kerry, like Bush, promised that the United States would stay the course until Iraq was secure, saying: ``We have to do what we need to do to get out and do it right.''

(Uhhhhh, that'd be uhhhhh, win? like we are doing? Sure, there's terrorism, but the situation in Iraq improves day by day. Can Kerry honestly say that isn't happening?)

He pledged to internationalize the forces in Iraq and do a better job of fighting the war on terror.
He also said Washington should make it clear to the world that the United States had no ``long-term designs to maintain bases and troops in Iraq.''

(John, define "long term.")

``We want those troops home and my goal would be to try to get them home in my first term and I believe that can be done,'' he said.
If Kerry were to beat Bush in the Nov. 2 presidential election, his first four-year term would end in January 2009.

(Knowing John Kerry, the troops will be removed from Iraq before the the Ryder truck moving his belongings from his house to the White House leaves....)

Stunning....simply stunning

Words escape me.

Zell Miller. We will never forgive. Never forget. Never excuse!

At the end of World War II, General Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Allied Commander of the South Pacific, said: "It is my earnest hope - indeed the hope of all mankind - that from this solemn occasion a better world shall emerge out of the blood and carnage of the past, a world found upon faith and understanding, a world dedicated to the dignity of man and the fulfillment of his most cherished wish for freedom, tolerance and justice."The hope he expressed then remains relevant today.

We are again engaged in a war that will define the future of humankind. Responding to attacks on our soil, America has led a coalition of countries against extremists who want to destroy our way of life and our values. This is a war we did not seek. This is a war waged against us.This is a war to which we had to respond. History shows that we are not imperialists . . .but we are fighters for freedom and democracy.

Even though I am a well-recognized liberal on many issues confronting our society today, I find it ironic that many human rights advocates and outspoken members of my own entertainment community are often on the front lines to protest repression, for which I applaud them but they are usually the first ones to oppose any use of force to take care of these horrors that they catalogue repeatedly.Under the unwavering leadership of President Bush, the cause of freedom and democracy is being advanced by the courageous men and women serving in our Armed Services. The President is doing exactly the right thing. That is why we need this President at this time!I am grateful for the chance to speak tonight to express my support for our Commander-in-Chief, for our brave troops, and for the vital cause which they have undertaken.

General Dwight Eisenhower's statement of 60 years ago is true today . . ."United in this determination and with unshakable faith in the cause for which we fight, we will, with God's help, go forward to our greatest victory."

Wow. Powerful stuff. I don't remember the Kerrytistas even mentioning the war on terror. He's backing Bush for re-election. In a piece in The Boston Globe, Koch outlines his reasoning for backing Bush,

"I've never before supported a Republican for president," Koch told me last week. "But I'm doing so this time because of the one issue that trumps everything else: international terrorism. In my judgment, the Democratic Party just doesn't have the stomach to stand up to the terrorists. But Bush is a fighter."

Koch was surprised and impressed by Bush's resolve after Sept. 11. "He announced the Bush Doctrine -- he said we would go after the terrorists and the countries that harbor them. And he's kept his word." Koch doubts that the leadership of his own party could have mustered the grit to topple the Taliban or drive Saddam Hussein from power, let alone to press on in what is going to be a long and grinding conflict.

"Already, most of the world is caving. If you didn't have Bush standing there, you'd have everybody following Spain and the Philippines" in retreat, he says, trying to appease the terrorists instead of fighting them.

Robert Dole

"Everybody likes quiet heroes, John, everybody knows you were in Vietnam and the less you say about it, the better."

That, my friends, is a quote from Robert Dole former Senator from Kansas, and the man who should have been President after the first four years of Bill Clinton.

Dole handed Kerry his political epitaph.

God bless Bob Dole.

It makes me sick that Kerry even thought that Dole would backtrack. JOHN Kerry visits Derry today to talk about health care. While on the subject, maybe he can explain why he is lying about a New Hampshire woman’s insurance status.
Repeatedly throughout his campaign, Kerry has held up Hudson resident Mary Ann Knowles as an example of President Bush’s failure to ensure adequate health care for all Americans (as if a President can do such a thing). Here is what he said during his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention last month:
“What does it mean when Mary Ann Knowles, a woman with breast cancer I met in New Hampshire, had to keep working day after day right through her chemotherapy, no matter how sick she felt, because she was terrified of losing her family’s health insurance? America can do better. And help is on the way.”
Thing is, Mary Ann Knowles did not have to work through her chemotherapy to keep her health insurance. In fact, she has great health insurance, which includes 26 weeks of paid disability leave.
Knowles chose to work through most, but not all, of her chemotherapy because her husband was out of a job. (Kerry said she had to work “every day” of her chemotherapy. His campaign chalked that lie up to “a colloquialism.”)
She and husband John did not want to take the pay cut that would have come with disability leave, so Mary Ann kept working. But that is not how Kerry tells the story. He deliberately misstates her situation, saying she would have lost her health coverage if she took a single day off.
When President Bush was given incorrect information, then innocently repeated it, the national press had a field day. In attacking the President, Michael Moore said it mattered not whether Bush knew the information was false before he repeated it; what mattered was that he uttered something that was not true. Well, here we have Kerry knowingly telling a false story in hopes of scaring people into voting for him. Where is the outrage?
SEN. Bush declared a state of emergency at the request of his brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Kerry said he supports their efforts.
Kerry said he has instructed his Florida campaign staff to provide food, clothing, shelter or other assistance to people whose lives have been disrupted by the hurricane.
"For the moment, our focus is on all of the police and response personnel necessary not being diverted from a visitor and really focusing on the recovery itself," Kerry said.
"Teresa and I are really thinking about those folks and our prayers and our thoughts are with them in the next hours," he said. "And we hope very, very much that the recovery can proceed as rapidly as possible and lives can be put back together."

He doesn't want his campaign entourage to distract from recovery efforts? Sheesh, DON'T BRING THEM, YOU DUMBASS! You are right, though. The last thing Florida needs is your campaign entourage. So leave them at home. It's OK to do that you know...

This guy says exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time, and the press gives him a pass.
President Bush pronounces "nuclear" as "nucular" and the media whores rage. By the way, "nucular" is perfectly acceptable in polite Texas society. Don't give me any crap about Texans being hicks. It's called a dialect. Every region of this country has its own. Ask any Bostonian to say "yard, car, or bar."

Kerry won't defend the United States

A tough charge to prove, but our friends at Newsmax uncovered this little tidbit when Kerry was the Lt Governor of the Kennedy Mafia home base:

"Whereas the existing and potential strength of nuclear weapons is such that nuclear war can neither be won nor survived, it can only be prevented; and Whereas the only effective defense against the horrors of nuclear weapons lies in their elimination and in the prevention of nuclear war or attacks, [the Commonwealth of Massachusetts] shall seek to ensure the safety of its citizens by pursuit of policies reflecting a serious commitment to prevention of nuclear war."
"Such policies," the Kerry directive continued, "shall include education of citizens concerning the real nature of nuclear war and efforts to influence national policy towards negotiation of an end to the nuclear-arms race."
The Kerry order stated emphatically, however: "No funds shall be expended by the Commonwealth for crisis relocation planning for nuclear war."

But he fought in Vietnam, right? I tend to be a little right of center. So it's probably no big surprise that I am throwing my support behind George W Bush for reelection this year. Maybe if the DemocRATs had bothered to send up Joe Lieberman (now that's a man with guts!), I would have been happy to look a little closer, but Kerry is just too much for me to take. He is an unprincipled man. He stands for nothing, and for everything all at once. Forget George's 7 minutes of inaction, John Kerry had 40 minutes of stunned stupid silence. This guy wants to be our President? Within minutes of Reagan getting shot, Al Haig declared himself to be "in control" of the White House. OK, so he didn't have "constitutional control," but he was the man in charge at that moment. Kerry votes against our troops, then has the gall to pronounce that "he voted for it before he voted against it.

Kerry married into money. Is this how he proposes we eliminate our budget deficit, by merging with Switzerland? Remember he did say he wanted the government run the same way as people in America run their households, right? OK, let's look at that for a second. Most folk in America DO run a deficit. It's called having a credit card. Or MORE than just "a" credit card. The average household in the US DOES run a deficit every month.

Think about it....

Fake beheading

Some moron in SanFrancisco, to get attention apparently, has made a faked beheading video. This has a definite whiff of desperation about it.
Secondly, where exactly was John Kerry that morning when America was under attack, and what was he doing?
In an interview with Larry King on CNN, July 8, 2004, Sen. Kerry was asked where he was the morning of September 11th. Here is part of his response:
Kerry: "...And as I came in [to a meeting in Sen. Daschle's office], Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon..."

It should be noted that the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing "nobody could think."

I lifted this from this blog and I wonder just what Kerry would have done in those 7 minutes, when apparently he was sitting on his hands for the better part of an hour.

Somebody please get this to a real news outlet.

Al-Sadr *needs* to become "al-Toast"

I hear Al-Sadr over in Iraq wants to make nice nice with us after losing another big fight.

Time to not make nice nice with him.

Take him out guys. Don't believe me, here's the link and a small quote from MSNBC's website:

John Kerry regards an Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism armed with nuclear weapons as unacceptable. He has a multiple-part strategy that is much more realistic than the Bush administration's. One is to rejoin and work through the international legal framework on arms control. That will give greater force to the major powers if they have to deal with violators. Secondly, he has laid out, I think in the most comprehensive way in modern memory, a program to secure nuclear materials around the world—particularly in the former Soviet Union but also in the places where research reactors have existed that could be susceptible to proliferation. The point is to try to prevent Iran from ever getting this material surreptitiously. Thirdly, he has proposed that rather than letting the British, the French and the Germans do this themselves, that we together call the bluff of the Iranian government, which claims that its only need is energy. And we say to them: "Fine, we will provide you the fuel that you need if Russia fails to provide it." Participating in such a diplomatic initiative makes it more likely to succeed.

Courtesy: MSNBC

This Kerry guy is dangerous!

What? but I had my convention! Personally, I think it's a great idea for Israel to build a barrier seperating their population from the Palestinian Suicide Squads. What I think is strange and hypocritical is the UN voting to try to force Israel to tear down the barrier.
